  • Ross Dress for Less opens new Philadelphia store Oct. 11

    Dublin, Calif. - Ross Dress for Less will open a new store in the Philadelphia area on Oct. 11. The store is located in Pilgrim Gardens in Drexel Hill.  

    This new opening is part of the retailer’s 2014 expansion program, totaling approximately 75 new locations during the year.

  • Phillips Edison-ARC Shopping Center REIT buys 11 centers in Q3

    Cincinnati - Phillips Edison–ARC Shopping Center REIT Inc. acquired 11 grocery-anchored shopping centers during third quarter 2014. The company's portfolio now consists of 131 properties located in 27 states and leased to 38 leading grocery store anchors.

    The 11 grocery-anchored shopping centers acquired during the third quarter to date expanded the company's presence in 10 states: California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Massachusetts, Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio, South Carolina and Tennessee.

  • Spring Mobile acquires 53 Product Center stores

    Salt Lake City - Spring Mobile, a retailer of AT&T wireless phones and a wholly-owned subsidiary of GameStop Corp., has acquired 53 retail store locations from Product Center. With the addition of the new locations, Spring Mobile now operates 298 stores in 26 states.

  • Uniqlo continues U.S. expansion with store at Roosevelt Field

    New York -- Uniqlo celebrate the opening of its store at Roosevelt Field, Garden City, New York, on Oct. 3.

    The Roosevelt Field store is the retailer’s ninth store in the state of New York, and its 32nd in the United States.

    Uniqlo currently more than 1,400 stores in 16 markets worldwide. The company is a brand of Japan’s Fast Retailing Co, whose brands also include Comptoir des Cotonniers, GU, Helmut Lang, J Brand, Princesse tam.tam, Theory.

     

  • Dick’s Sporting Goods opens three remodeled stores Oct. 12

    Pittsburgh – Dick’s Sporting Goods Inc. is opening three remodeled stores on Oct. 12. The stores are located in Toledo, Ohio, Gaithersburg, Maryland, and Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania.

    The Toledo Store measures 50,000 sq. ft. The Gaithersburg store is located in Washingtonian Center and measures more than 100,000 sq. ft. The Wilkes-Barre store is located in Arena Hub Plaza and measures 45,000 sq. ft.

  • Report: Nordstrom looking to open store in downtown Manhattan

    New York -- Nordstrom is searching for about 250,000 sq. ft. of space in which to open a full-line store in downtown Manhattan, Women’s Wear Daily reported. Saks Fifth Avenue recently announced it will open downtown, as an anchor in Brookfield Place.

    Nordstrom is scheduled open its first full-line store in the Big Apple, on 57th Street between Broadway and Seventh Avenue, in 2018.

     

  • Aeropostale expands into Chile

    New York – Aeropostale Inc. plans to launch the Aeropostale and P.S. from Aeropostale brands in Chile through a licensing agreement with Sociedad Comercial Grupo Yes S.p.A. ("Grupo Yes").

    Aeropostale's expansion plans in Chile include the opening of standalone stores, department stores and multi-brand stores in select locations across Chile beginning in spring 2015. The Company's first Aeropostale store is scheduled to open in Parque Arauco in Santiago in October. P.S. from Aeropostale stores are expected to open beginning in early 2015.
