  • Dunkin’ Donuts plans seven new Arizona stores

    Canton, Mass. –- Dunkin’ Donuts has signed a multi-unit store development agreement with existing franchisees ABDD Arizona to develop seven restaurants in Phoenix. The group's first restaurant from this franchise agreement opened Oct. 27.  
  • Miracle Mile welcomes new retail tenants

    Chicago -– During the upcoming winter, Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino will convert nearly 6,000-sq.-ft. of open space into four new retail destinations by welcoming M•A•C Cosmetics, Desigual and Lush Fresh Handmade Cosmetics and opening a larger, renovated House of Hoops by Foot Locker. M•A•C Cosmetics opens in December, followed later in the winter by global apparel retailer Desigual.  
  • Report: Urban Decay opens first brick-and-mortar store

    Newport Beach, Calif. –- Formerly pure-play online specialty cosmetics retailer Urban Decay has reportedly entered the brick-and-mortar arena. According to the Los Angeles Times, Urban Decay opened its first physical store, at the Fashion Island mall in its headquarters town of Newport Beach, Calif., on Monday, Nov. 17.  
  • Sheetz opens new Burlington, N.C., distribution center

    Altoona, Penn. -- C-store operator Sheetz cut the ceremonial red ribbon to officially open its new Burlington (North Carolina) Distribution Center.    The $33 million facility contains a Sheetz Bros kitchen, distribution and warehousing center for the Sheetz distribution fleet. There is also be space for various corporate support departments.    
  • American Eagle Outfitters delivers on European expansion promise

    London -- Challenged to grow in the U.S., teen apparel chain American Eagle Outfitters is making good on its pledge to leverage the overseas market to kickstart expansion.   
  • Dillard's posts increased profit in 3Q, sales dwindle

    Little Rock, Ark. -- Dillard's Inc. reported Thursday a profit of $55.2 million in its fiscal third quarter, up 8.4% over the $50.9 million profit in the same period last year.   Sales, however, dipped to $1.460 billion, from $1.469 billion, and same-stores sales declined 1%.   Still, said CEO William T. Dillard II, "We believe we are positioned very well for the holiday season.”  
  • Square One mall unveils $60-million wing, launches $480-million expansion

    Mississauga, Ontario -- Canadian mall Square One has opened its newly renovated and expanded $60-million North side wing, featuring new stores and enhanced amenities and services in 78,000 sq. ft. The opening marks the completion of the second phase in Square One's multi-phase redevelopment, which will increase retail space to 2.1 million sq. ft. by 2016 and represents a total investment of more than $480 million.  
  • Canadian brand Arc'teryx to open fourth U.S. store

    Washington, D.C. -- Canadian outdoor brand Arc'teryx will open its first East Coast location, and fourth in the U.S., in CityCenterDC, downtown Washington, D.C.'s new mixed-use development.
