  • Nursery Acres acquires Cabela’s in Grand Junction, Colo.

    Denver — Transwestern’s Denver office has announced that it brokered the acquisition by Nursery Acres L.P. of a 75,330-sq.-ft. Cabela’s retail store in Grand Junction, Colo. Built in 1983, the store sits on a 6.76-acre lot at Mesa Mall.

    Transwestern represented the buyer, Nursery Acres, which purchased the building to complete a 1031 exchange. The company plans to keep the property long-term. Faris Lee represented the seller, Macerich Mesa Mall Holdings LLC.

     

  • SRS brokers four shopping center sales since August

    Dallas — SRS Real Estate Partners’ southeast investment sales team has closed five retail shopping center sales since August. The transactions total more than $60 million and over 575,000 sq. ft. of retail real estate. Here are the details:

  • Kimco to buy 24 New England properties for $270 million

    New Hyde Park, N.Y. — Kimco Realty Corp. has announced a purchase and sale agreement to acquire a 24-property retail portfolio in New England for $270 million, which includes the assumption of $121.5 million of mortgage debt.

    The 1.4-million-sq.-ft. portfolio is 96% occupied. It includes 17 properties in the Boston metropolitan market. Anchor tenants include Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s, Lowes, Kohl’s, Petco, Pier 1 Imports, Aldi Supermarket, CVS and Walgreens.

  • Fountain Mathes I acquires shopping center portfolio

    New York -- Fountain Capital and Cheney & Mathes Properties have announced through their partnership, Fountain Mathes I, that they have acquired a 450,000-sq.-ft. portfolio of retail shopping centers with 16 properties in 10 states. Each center is shadow-anchored by Wal-Mart projects.

    The centers largely contain national credit tenants such as AT&T, Cato, Dollar Tree, GameStop, Hibbett Sports, Payless and Shoe Show. The portfolio is 95% occupied.

  • GRK Fresh leases 2nd restaurant in Manhattan

    New York — GRK Fresh, a fast-casual Greek restaurant located at 111 Fulton Street, has signed a lease for its second Manhattan location at 451 Lexington Avenue in the Grand Central area. The new GRK Fresh will span 2,150 sq. ft.

    Winick Realty Group represented GRK Fresh in its search for a Midtown location. CBRE Group represented the landlord — Landlord Regency Development.

  • Lane Bryant announces three new stores, one relocation

    New York -- Lane Bryant has announced the opening of three new stores and one relocation of an existing store.

    The specialty apparel retailer plans to open a new store in the Miracle Mile Shopping Center in Monroeville, Pa., on Oct. 25, with the grand opening running through the weekend.

    Lane Bryant also plans to open a new store at Rushmore Crossing in Rapid City, S.D. on Oct. 25, with the grand opening continuing through Sunday.

  • Mansour brokers sale of Pet Smart and TJ Maxx

    Louisville, Ky. — The Mansour Group has announced the sale of Pet Smart and TJ Maxx, a 49,410-sq.-ft. retail box on an outparcel located in a 218,000-sq.-ft. shopping center owned by Weingarten. The seller was a national real estate advisory group and the buyer was a private investor.

     The offering is part of a large portfolio of similar former Service Merchandise assets — all exclusively listed by The Mansour Group.

     

  • Transwestern brokers purchase of Houston-Area property

    San Antonio, Texas — Transwestern’s San Antonio office today announced that it has completed the sale of Rosenberg Center in Rosenberg, Texas, a suburb of Houston. Built in 1986, the 113,430-sq.-ft. neighborhood retail center serves a commercial corridor between Rosenberg and Richmond, Texas. A private investor bought the property for an undisclosed amount from Rosenberg Station LLC.
