  • RadioShack JV to open small-format stores in China

    FORT WORTH, Texas — A Thursday report by Reuters said that RadioShack will take a 49% stake in a joint venture with Cybermart to open small-format, RadioShack-branded stores in greater China.

    Cybermart, an affiliate of Hon Hai Precision Industry Co., and RadioShack will open their first location in Shanghai in July. Additional locations are planned for mainland China, as well as Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macau.

  • Home Depot increases share buyback plan and reaffirms outlook

    Atlanta -- The Home Depot on Wednesday expanded its share buyback plan for the year by $500 million and reaffirmed its full-year outlook.

    The retailer said it now expects to buy back $4 billion of its shares and that the increase in its share repurchase plan would not have a material impact to earnings per share for 2012.

  • Walgreens and Express Scripts end lawsuits

    Deerfield, Ill. -- Pharmacy benefits manager Express Scripts and Walgreens said Friday they are ending a legal dispute. However, the decision has no impact on their ability to agree to business terms.

    Walgreens said last June that it would stop filling prescriptions for Express Scripts Holding Co. members when a contract between the companies expired. It said Express Scripts was not paying it enough money.
