  • Lowe's execs unveil digital moves

    Mooresville,  N.C. -- Sales at Lowes.com are running about 35% ahead of last year, according to CEO Robert Niblock, who spoke to analysts during the retailer's recent Analyst and Investors Conference. Still, the Mooresville, N.C.-based home improvement giant has ideas on how to improve its digital business.

    During the event, Niblock explained an important part of the retailer's vision: "Whenever, wherever the customer wants to interact with us, we're going to try and make it convenient for them."
     

  • Staples expands printing business

    Framingham, Mass. -- Staples Advantage, the business-to-business division of Staples, announced that its Print Solutions business has acquired PRINTSouth Corp. (operating as “Miami Systems”), a leading national manufacturer of business forms. Customers of Staples Print Solutions and Miami Systems will benefit from expanded product and service offerings, improved distribution capabilities and shared best practices, Staples reported.

  • Kohl’s renews Simply Vera license early

    Menomonee Falls, Wis. -- Kohl's Corp. said Tuesday it has renewed its long-term license agreement to be the exclusive seller of Simply Vera Vera Wang clothing and other merchandise, and plans to expand the line into makeup.

  • Alliance Data signs multi-year renewal agreement with Arhaus Furniture

    Dallas -- Alliance Data Systems Corporation, provider of loyalty and marketing solutions derived from transaction-rich data, announced it has signed a multi-year renewal agreement with Arhaus Furniture -- a high-end retailer of quality, customizable home furnishings and accessories -- to continue providing turnkey private label credit-card services for Arhaus' retail locations.

  • NRF supports extension of Bush-era tax cuts

    Washington, D.C. -- The National Retail Federation has announced its support of a tentative bipartisan agreement that would temporarily extend Bush-era tax cuts for all taxpayers regardless of income in return for extending unemployment benefits.
