  • Abercrombie & Fitch strengthens supply chain strategy

    Abercrombie & Fitch has extended its contract with GT Nexus to expand its cloud supply chain strategy and improve visibility into the movement of orders, payments and goods. 

    Since 2010, the company has used the GT Nexus platform to support international sourcing and supplier collaboration.

    Abercrombie & Fitch operates 1,053 apparel stores in 20 countries across four unique lifestyle brands: Abercrombie & Fitch, Abercrombie Kids, Hollister Co. and Gilly Hicks. The retailer operates distinct e-commerce sites for each of the four brands. 

  • Robert Graham opens first New York City store

    New York— Robert Graham has announced a new lease agreement to open its first New York City store on Bleecker Street this fall. The West Village Bleecker Street fashion corridor houses Burberry, Brunello Cucinelli, Marc Jacobs, rag & bone, and Ralph Lauren.

    Robert Graham currently operates six freestanding stores across the country. They are located in Los Angeles, Houston, Las Vegas, Boca Raton, Fla., Long Island, N.Y., and Short Hills, N.J.

     

  • Albertson’s to buy United Family

    BOISE, IDAHO – Albertson’s Supermarkets plans to purchase grocery store and c-store operator the United Family. The transaction’s terms have not been released.

  • Rizzieri Salon and Spa to PREIT’s Moorestown Mall

    Philadelphia — Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust is relocating the award-winning Rizzieri Salon and Spa to Moorestown Mall from its current location in Marlton, N.J. The spa will take over a newly designed 12,000-sq.-ft. space late next year.

    The move is part of PREIT’s repositioning effort for the mall. In addition to Rizzieri, the effort has brought in artisan-owned restaurants, a premium movie theater and specialty stores unique to the mall environment.

  • Pep Boys remain cautiously optimistic following Q2 results

    The Pep Boys are remaining cautiously optimistic that there will be an increase in demand for tires this year, following a comparable store sales decrease of 1.3% for the second quarter ended Aug. 3. 

    Sales for the quarter increased 0.4% to $527.6 million from $525.7 million for the prior-year quarter. The company’s operating profit for the quarter, adjusted to exclude merger-related costs, was $19.4 million as compared to $15.5 million for the second quarter of fiscal 2012. 

  • Smart & Final Extra! Signs into San Dimas Plaza

    San DiegoBrixmor Property Group has leased approximately 45,000 sq. ft. to Smart & Final Extra! at Brixmor’s San Dimas Plaza in San Dimas, Calif. The supermarket/warehouse store will take over the space formerly occupied by Ralphs. NAI Capital represented Smart & Final.

    T.J. Maxx anchors the 119,157-sq.-ft. San Dimas Plaza alongside national retailers Rite Aid, Payless ShoeSource, Sprint and RadioShack.

     

  • Walgreens acquires Kerr Drug chain

    Deerfield, Ill. -- Walgreens on Tuesday announced it has acquired North Carolina pharmacy chain Kerr Drug. The purchase of the privately held regional outfit, which generated $381 million in revenue in 2012, includes its 76 retail stores and specialty pharmacy chain.

  • Gordon Brothers Group forms GB Energy Partners

    Boston -- Restructuring and investment firm Gordon Brothers Group has acquired oil and gas appraisal company Appraisal Systems, and will use the acquisition to propel the launch of GB Energy Partners.
     
    GB Energy Partners combines the energy expertise of Gordon Brothers Group, Emerald Technology Valuations and ASI into one comprehensive appraisal and disposition platform.
