  • Fairway seeks CEO

    Fairway Group Holdings' Herbert Ruetsch plans to retire after 15 years with the company, including the last two years as its CEO. Ruetsch will remain a special adviser to the company and continue to provide input into certain merchandising and product initiatives.

  • Dunkin’ Donuts plans 22 new stores in Baltimore/Washington, D.C., market

    Canton, Mass. – Dunkin’ Donuts has entered multi-unit store development agreement with five existing franchise groups to develop 22 new restaurants throughout the Greater Baltimore/Washington, D.C., area over the next several years. The five franchise groups and their development plans include:

    • Existing franchisee Arun Mandi plans to develop eight restaurants throughout Washington, D.C., and Virginia. Mandi currently operates 28 locations in Delaware, New Jersey, and Pennsylvania. His next restaurant is planned to open in 2015.

  • Gains at front end drive Shoppers Drug Mart Q4 results

    Shoppers Drug Mart posted an increase in fourth quarter sales driven by gains at the front end and strength in prescription count growth.

    Sales for the quarter were Canadian $2.75 billion, an increase of 0.9% compared with the year-ago period. Same-store sales increased 1.2% during the quarter.

  • Nordstrom Rack enters Delaware

    Seattle-based Nordstrom plans to open a Nordstrom Rack at Christiana Fashion Center in Newark, Del. The approximately 35,000-sq.-ft. store, which is scheduled to open in fall 2015, is the company’s first Rack location in the state.

    The single-level, newly built Nordstrom Rack is located at the intersection of Interstate 95 and Route 1, adjacent to Christiana Mall and will be surrounded by a strong tenant mix.

  • Cabela’s adds DTCC administrative chief Milrod to board

    Cabela’s has appointed Donna M. Milrod to its board of directors.

    “Donna is a proven leader and brings a wealth of regulatory, finance, and capital markets experience,” said CEO Tommy Millner. “The board and Cabela’s will greatly benefit from Donna’s insights and knowledge.”

  • Four tenants for Park West Village in Morrisville, N.C.

    Morrisville, N.C. — Earth Fare, Pier I Imports, Blackfinn Ameripub and Charming Charlie have inked new leases at Park West Village in Morrisville, N.C., according to the center’s owner, CASTO.

  • Topshop takes Manhattan

    Topshop/Topman plans to open a 40,000-sq-ft. flagship store on Fifth Avenue in New York. The new Manhattan store will be located on the corner of 49th Street, and is adjacent to Rockefeller Center.
