SAN JOSE, Calif. — Global commerce platform and payments leader eBay reported double digit growth in revenue and net income for the first quarter ended March 31.

eBay reported a revenue increase of 14% to $3.7 billion, and its net income, adjusted to exclude non-recurring expenses, increased 14% to $829 million, compared to the same period in 2012.

New York -- Following unanimous approval in March by the New York City Council for the redevelopment of Pier 17, The Howard Hughes Corp. said it has named RKF as the exclusive consultant and leasing agent for the South Street Seaport.

Fort Worth, Texas -- RadioShack Corp. formally announced that it has named two new leaders to its senior management team. Michael DeFazio has been named SVP – store concepts, and Jennifer Warren has been named SVP and chief marketing officer.

ATLANTA — Supply chain solutions company Predictix has appointed Ronald P. Menich, Ph.D., as its new EVP and chief scientist. 

Predictix provides retailers and brands with platforms and tools that enable them to drive competitive advantage and market differentiation. 

A Web site affiliated with noted television investment pundit Jim Cramer has reiterated its buy recommendation on shares of Walmart.

TheStreet.com rated Walmart A+ and said the company’s strengths can be seen in areas such as revenue growth, notable return on equity, solid stock price performance, growth in earnings per share and net income.

"We feel these strengths outweigh the fact that the company shows weak operating cash flow," according to the TheStreet.

New York -- A New York judge on Thursday rejected a request by Macy's to block J.C. Penney from selling Martha Stewart goods under the "JCP Everyday" label for now, while it appeals a ruling allowing the sale. An order temporarily barring Martha Stewart from selling goods branded with her name at J.C. Penney's is still in place.

Dick Lynch has joined the SD Retail Consulting division of Hilco Trading as SVP of merchandising and strategy.

In his new role, Lynch will be responsible for helping retailers create shareholder value through process, organization and technology enhancements in the key merchandising and inventory management functions. He will also play a key role in assisting management, owners and lenders in shareholder value creation assignments.

Boston -- Marcus & Millichap Real Estate Investment Services said that it has named Thomas Gorman regional manager of its Boston and Providence, R.I. offices.

Gorman has been serving as the sales manager in the Philadelphia and Washington D.C. offices since November 2011, and is charged with expanding the Boston and Providence offices.
