  • Williams-Sonoma taps Children’s Place exec as senior VP global

    San Francisco -- Williams-Sonoma announced the hiring of Ronald R. Young as senior VP global. Young will grow the portfolio of Williams-Sonoma brands outside the United States.

  • Ross Dress for Less opens Pennsylvania, New Jersey stores July 19

    Dublin, Calif. – Ross Dress for Less will open two new stores in the Mid-Atlantic region on July 19. The stores opening are in the MacDade Mall in Glenolden, Pennsylvania and Windsor Heights Shopping Center in East Windsor, New Jersey.

    These new openings are part of the retailer’s 2014 expansion program, totaling approximately 75 new locations during the year.

     

  • Starbucks opens in Colombia

    Seattle – Starbucks opens its first store in Colombia on July 16. The three-story location in the capital city of Bogota is the first of 50 stores Starbucks plans to open in Colombia by 2019.

  • Fred Segal to debut ‘lifestyle center’ in Tokyo

    New York -- Fred Segal will unveil its first “international lifestyle center” concept in spring 2015, in Tokyo. The format will feature a collection of stores in three buildings in a converted railway site at 13 Daikanyama-cho Shibuya-ku, Tokyo. It will be Fred Segal’s first location outside the United States.

  • Hampshire signs global sourcing agreement with Dockers

    Hampshire Group signed a master supply agreement with Levi Strauss & Company in which Hampshire will supply knit shirts, woven shirts and sweaters to Dockers’ global business.

  • IDology releases new solution, expands to Mexico

    Atlanta - IDology, a provider of identity and age verification solutions, has released ExpectID Global GeoTrace, a new anti-fraud tool designed to help identify and eliminate location-based fraud. In addition, IDology has expanded its global identity verification solution, ExpectID Global, to now include coverage for Mexico.

  • Pottery Barn, Pottery Barn Kids enter Philippines

    San Francisco – Pottery Barn and Pottery Barn Kids opened stores Tuesday, July 15 at Central Square, Bonifacio High Street, a premier retail destination in Manila, Philippines. As part of parent company William-Sonoma Inc.’s strategic global expansion, these stores are the first Pottery Barn and Pottery Barn Kids locations in Southeast Asia.
