Cincinnati – The Kroger Co. has been named to the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (USHCC) Million Dollar Club. Introduced by the USHCC in 2010, the Million Dollar Club recognizes corporations that are leaders in supplier diversity and integrating Hispanic business enterprises into their strategic sourcing and procurement process.  

Kroger is a member of the United States Hispanic Chamber of Commerce Million Dollar Club for the second consecutive year. The company was inducted in the $250 to $500 million annual expenditure category.

Chicago -- The strategic merits of Burger King Worldwide's leveraged buy-out of Tim Hortons Inc. will be tested by Monday's enactment of tightened U.S. Treasury tax rules on U.S. companies seeking to re-domicile their headquarters in countries with more favorable tax systems, according to Fitch Ratings. The new regulation is meant to reduce the attractiveness of inversions and is effective immediately.

Mooresville, N.C. - The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has awarded Lowe's Companies Inc. the highest honor for industry leadership in its SmartWay Transport Partnership. Lowe's received a 2014 SmartWay Excellence Award for superior environmental performance in supply chain operations.

Washington, D.C. -- The Washington, DC-based brokerage Cassidy Turley agreed to sell 100% of its equity interests to an affiliate of DTZ Investment Holdings, which is backed by a consortium of investors.

The deal is expected to fully close on Dec. 31, after the consortium acquires DTZ around Oct. 31
