Body Shop stores now fulfill online orders for same-day delivery.
The Body Shop is the latest retailer to offer fast delivery.
The global beauty brand is partnering with on-demand delivery platform Instacart to enable same-day fulfillment of online purchases from its 165 stores in the United States and Canada. Customers can place orders on the Instacart site and mobile app from the Body Shop’s full assortment of body and skin care products, hair care, accessories, and gifts for delivery to their door in as fast as one hour.
For all orders placed, an Instacart shopper will pick, pack and deliver the order within the customer’s designated timeframe, whether they choose to receive it in as fast as an hour or schedule their delivery in advance. Contactless delivery is also available with Instacart’s "Leave at My Door" delivery option.
Customers can track order progress and communicate with Instacart shoppers every step of the way, by using the Instacart app or website.
The Body Shop is following in the footsteps of fellow beauty retailer Sephora, which initially launched same-day online delivery in partnership with Instacart in select U.S. and Canadian store locations in September 2020. The Sephora partnership, which recently expanded to included French-language Instacart services in the Canadian province of Quebec, also enables customers to have access select promotions from Sephora’s Beauty Insider loyalty program and earn points on every Sephora order placed on the Instacart marketplace. Instacart also developed a consumer shopping design that makes it easier for Sephora customers to seamlessly browse and shop from Sephora’s assortment and quickly find a personalized color through a new, one-click shade selector.
In addition, Sephora just launched a proprietary same-day delivery service that it offers concurrently with its Instacart delivery option.
“We’re thrilled to launch this partnership just before the busy holiday shopping season to service our customers in the way they want to shop with us,” said Aliza Perruzzi, assistant VP, marketing, The Body Shop. “Consumer buying behavior has shifted significantly in the past year, particularly in the U.S., and working with Instacart allows us to meet our customers' needs by offering them the option to buy their favorite skincare and beauty products on demand.”
“We’re excited to announce our partnership with The Body Shop to offer customers access to same-day delivery in as fast as an hour just in time for the holiday gifting season,” said Blake Wallace, new retail partnerships at Instacart. “The addition of The Body Shop to the Instacart Marketplace provides customers a one-stop-shop for all things skincare, haircare, bath, body, and more. We look forward to offering consumers a new way to get their favorite items from the retailer they love with great selection and choice.”
Instacart has partnered with more than 600 national, regional and local retailers to deliver from nearly 55,000 stores across more than 5,500 cities in North America. Instacart's platform is available to over 85% of U.S. households and 90% of Canadian households.
