A consumer electronics titan is introducing a new online delivery option in time for the holidays.
Best Buy is now offering free next-day delivery on thousands of items for about 99% of its customers. The program excludes some bigger and heavier products like big-screen TVs and refrigerators. Customers who order an oversized item or live outside a free next-day delivery area will get free standard shipping on all orders throughout the holiday season. No membership or minimum purchase is required.
Best Buy is rolling out free next-day delivery alongside other existing omnichannel fulfillment options. These include one-hour in-store pickup (used for about 40% of Best Buy online purchases), same-day delivery for online orders completed before 3 p.m. local time (2 p.m. Sundays) in 42 U.S. metro areas, and curbside pickup in select markets across the country.
Furthermore, starting Sunday, Oct. 27, Best Buy is discounting $50 from the $199.99 yearly membership fee for its Total Tech Support program, which provides unlimited support for all tech and appliances, regardless of where they were purchased. Total Tech Support also offers discounts on services such as TV mounting, computer virus removal and appliance installation, as well as free Internet security software for up to 10 devices.
In addition, Best Buy runs the free My Best Buy membership program. My Best Buy provides special member-only offers, such as first access to Black Friday deals and exclusive savings on select products.
