Best Buy launches online hubs for virtual learners and their parents

Best Buy is creating one-stop online resources for students and parents preparing for a return to remote learning. 

Many states and school districts are planning or considering distance learning for the beginning of the 2020-21 academic year because of the pandemic. In response, Best Buy is offering a student hub with deals on remote learning technology and assistance for choosing a computer, and a parent hub with technology and tips to support remote work and education. Both hubs are accessible on the Best Buy e-commerce site.

The student hub enables customers to sign up for exclusive student deals on back-to-school technology, and also offers interactive quizzes to help students select the computer that best meets their needs and find products that match their personal technology style. 

The parent hub includes laptops, tablets, Wi-Fi routers, and computer accessories. In addition, there are tech tip videos and other resources designed to help parents’ get the most out of their purchases. Videos include instructionals how to optimize WiFi, speed up a computer, and customize an at-home workspace.
