American Dream plans week of promotions starting Thanksgiving week

American Dream’s newly opened retail section will be getting a boost from a week-long “Make Dreams Come True” surrounding the Thanksgiving holiday.

“Love’s Got to Give” is the theme for Monday, Nov. 23, when the holiday spirit busts out with 550 snowflakes over the center’s NHL-standard skating rink, 500 poinsettias in the Winter Garden Court, and more than 100 Christmas trees throughout the development.

After being closed on Thanksgiving Day, “The Wish List” of retail promotions and curated gift collections will highlight Black Friday shopping. Saturday’s activities will focus on the dozens of small, independent shops and dining establishments at the $5 billion complex.

Triple Five, which owns and operates American Dream, has introduced what it calls #dreamsafe initiative, developed with Hackensack Meridian Health, which will be operating an urgent care center inside the complex.

“We’re moving away from the traditional one-day Black Friday holiday and expanding to eight magical days, giving families the chance to experience American Dream at a time most convenient for them,” said American Dream’s co-CEO Mark Ghermezian.
