The first big sky wheel with views of the nation’s biggest city is soon opening in the New Jersey Meadowlands.

The 300-foot-high Dream wheel will provide new views of New York City to guests at Triple Five’s American Dream from within temperature-controlled gondolas. “Elevated” versions of state fair artery-cloggers like deep-fried Oreos and Twinkies, said a press release, will sate rider’s appetites as they scan the Manhattan skyline.

“As soon as we saw American Dream, we knew it was the perfect location for our observation wheel in the New York/New Jersey market,” said Skyviews of America owner Guy Leavitt. “With visibility [of the wheel available] from Manhattan and the 110 million cars that drive past it annually, the Dream Wheel is destined to be an iconic landmark.”

The Dream Wheel will be open seven days a week starting April 13 at a general admission charge of $20. It will also host private events and VIP experiences within gondolas that hold up to 16 riders.

“American Dream provides our guests with exhilarating experiences unrivaled anywhere else in the world. The Dream Wheel is no exception as no other destination offers these remarkable views of Manhattan,” said American Dream CEO Don Ghermezian.
