Amazon is not raising seller fees for 2025.

Amazon has some happy New Year news for third-party sellers using the Fulfillment by Amazon hosted distribution service.

Based on positive results in its supply chain and with independent sellers during 2024, Amazon said it will not increase U.S. referral and FBA fees and will not introduce any new fee types in 2025 and will also lower some fees and provide some additional benefits.

Summary of 2025 fee changes

  • Amazon is lowering inbound placement service fees for large bulky-size products an average of $0.58 per unit for minimal shipment splits. This change is effective January 15, 2025.
  • The e-tailer will waive the inbound placement service fee for new parent Amazon standard identification numbers (ASINs) that qualify for the FBA New Selection Program and are included in shipments created between Dec. 1, 2024 – Mar. 31, 2025. These items will be exempt from the inbound placement service fee up to the first 100 inbounded units per new parent ASIN.
  • Amazon will enhance its New Seller Incentives and FBA New Selection programs with greater fee discounts starting January 15, 2025 for eligible sellers and selection. The e-tailer says it will regularly refresh these discounts and they will include products that are everyday essentials, have high customer demand but lower selection breadth in its online store, and popular brands where customers want greater global availability.

Other than these three updates, Amazon's U.S. referral and FBA fee types and rates will not change. Specific developments the company cited in its decision to keep fees and rates down for independent sellers using its services include regionalized inbound fulfillment and more efficient planning and forecasting.

As a result, Amazon says during 2024 it saw better in-stock levels, more products placed closer to customers, and the fastest Prime shipping speeds to date. The e-tailer also said it realizes that changes to its seller fulfillment fee structure and new fee types in 2024 created complexity for some sellers.

"Over the coming weeks and into 2025, we will continue to invest in our fee-related product experiences - including improving your fee calculators and fee preview tools, enhancing the FBA inbounding experience with features that estimate transportation costs and recommend the most cost-effective shipping options to Amazon, and more, so that you can more easily understand and optimize your business," Dharmesh Mehta, VP, worldwide selling partner services, Amazon, said in an email sent to sellers..
