Amazon Prime Day 2024 arrives in July.

Amazon’s 10th annual Prime Day event will be held this summer.

The e-tail giant said it will host the 2024 edition of its Prime Day omnichannel sales extravaganza in July. Prime Day will take place in the following countries: Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brazil, Canada, Egypt, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Luxembourg, Mexico, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Turkey, the United Arab Emirates, the U.S., and the U.K.

In a brief announcement in its corporate blog, Amazon said the event will include deep discounts and offer early back-to-school shopping opportunities. Although Amazon did not specify the exact timing of the sale, typically the official event takes place over a two-day period in mid-July (during the peak COVID-19 pandemic period it was hosted in October and June), with early discounts available for Prime members starting about a month before the full event launches.

Amazon Prime Day has traditionally been restricted to members of the e-tailer’s paid Prime membership service, whose perks include free expedited shipping on eligible items. However, Amazon has always offered a free 30-day trial membership option to allow customers to participate without having to fully join.

In a LinkedIn post, Doug Herrington, CEO, Worldwide Amazon Stores, said the 2023 version of the event was the biggest Prime Day in Amazon’s history: Prime members purchased more than 375 million items worldwide and saved more than $2.5 billion on millions of deals across Amazon stores, according to Herrington.

"I couldn’t be more excited for this year’s Prime Day event," Herrington said on LinkedIn. "We can’t wait to give members access to great savings across top brands. Stay tuned for more details as we get closer to the event."
