Altar’d State names Fossil exec as CIO

Joergen Scheuer-Larsen has been appointed CIO and senior VP of Altar’d State.

Altar'd State is strengthening its technology arm.

The fast-growing, multi-brand young women's fashion retailer named Joergen Scheuer-Larsen as senior VP and chief information officer. Scheuer-Larsen will lead all technology for the company's brands, which, in addition to Altar’d State, include Arula and Vow'd.

Scheuer-Larsen joins Altar’d State from Fossil Group, where he most recently served as senior VP, CIO, leading all of IT strategically and executionally. Prior to joining Fossil in 2013, he was CIO of Skagen Designs, which Fossil acquired in 2012. Scheuer-Larsen also held roles at Lego Systems, and Carlsberg Breweries Denmark.

Scheuer-Larsen was identified for Altar'd State by executive search firm Berglass+Associates through its “Star Search Program, a partnership focused on future, rather than short-term talent needs.

Altar'd State operates 122 namesake stores, 23 Arula stores, and five Vow'd boutiques in 38 states.

Founded in 2009, Altar’d State is an advocate for connecting retail with goodwill through efforts ranging from donations in local communities to a generous volunteer program for associates to funding child-focused, global initiatives that support social development efforts in underserved areas in Peru.
