The 2025 list of people shaping retail’s future includes...
Five retail leaders will be celebrated at the NRF Foundation Honors event in New York City.
The individuals are being honored by the foundation with its annual “List of People Shaping Retail’s Future” awards, which highlight the wide range of companies, roles and products that are vital to retail and consumers.
The six 2025 honorees are:
- Dr. Athina Kanioura, chief strategy and transformation officer, PepsiCo;
- Torsten Lubach, chief technology officer, Costco Wholesale Corp.;
- Christiane Pendarvis, co-CEO, Pattern Beauty;
- Javier Quiñones, CEO and chief sustainability officer, Ikea U.S.;
- Christopher Thomas-Moore, chief digital officer, Domino’s.
Each honoree is featured in a video interview by the NRF Foundation, offering an inside look at their careers and influence on the retail industry.
“We are proud to celebrate the remarkable honorees of The List 2025,” said Tony Spring, chairman and CEO, Macy’s Inc., and chair of the NRF Foundation board of directors. “Their passion for retail and the impact they’ve made throughout their careers is truly inspiring. These leaders are not only shaping the industry but also opening doors for the next generation of talent, and we’re honored to recognize their contributions.”
The 2025 NRF Foundation Honors will take place on Jan. 12 at the Marriott Marquis Times Square and will be co-hosted by Spring and Walmart U.S. president and CEO and NRF board chairman John Furner.
“This admirable group of individuals reminds us of the diverse career opportunities available in the retail industry,” said NRF Foundation executive director Adam Lukoskie said. “The List 2025 honorees have each dedicated their careers to uplifting retail, and we look forward to celebrating those who continue to inspire and leave a lasting impact.”
Since 2015, the NRF Foundation Honors has raised funds to provide educational programs and resources that connect people to life-changing careers in retail. The Honors celebrates retail professionals who are building better lives and stronger communities. It is the NRF Foundation’s biggest stage for telling the story of how retail is a great place to start and grow a career.
