Warby Parker names former Macy's exec as CFO

A leading eyewear brand has added a financial veteran to its leadership team.

Warby Parker has named Adrian Mitchell as its new CFO.  Most recently, Mitchell spent five years with Macy's, which he joined as CFO in 2020, with the COO title added In 2022. He departed the department store giant in April 2025. Mitchell is credited with modernizing operations by embedding AI-driven tools across Macy's, according to Warby Parker.

Mitchell replaces Steve Miller, a company veteran who stepped down as CFO last October following almost 15 years in the role.

Prior to joining Macy’s, Mitchell spent three years as the managing director and partner at Boston Consulting Group, and served as the CEO of furniture brand Arhaus for one year prior. Mitchell spent five years at Crate & Barrel Holdings, serving as chief financial officer, chief operating officer and interim CEO during the period.

Mitchell currently serves on the board of directors of Stanley Black & Decker. He is a member of the audit and finance & pension committees, and formerly on the corporate governance committee. He is also a former board member of REI.

Founded in 2010 and headquartered in New York City, Warby Parker operates 313 retail stores across the U.S. and Canada.
