Uniqlo plots 2026 expansion — here's where
Uniqlo is planning to expand its U.S. footprint in 2026 with several stores planned in some of America’s largest cities.
The global apparel retailer, part of Japan’s Fast Retailing Co., will open a host of new stores next year, highlighted by flagship openings in Chicago and San Francisco, and four additional locations in New York City. In total, Uniqlo will open 11 new stores next spring/summer across the country, including in other key markets such as Boston, Seattle, Maryland and Washington D.C. Uniqlo’s upcoming expansion comes at a special time for the brand as it celebrates 20 years since the opening of their SoHo Flagship store on Broadway, which was the brand’s very first global flagship store to open outside of Japan. The flagship store openings in Chicago and San Francisco mark the very first flagship stores outside of New York City in the U.S.

Our strategy is about thoughtful growth – opening the right stores in the right places – while ensuring every location reflects our customer’s voices and delivers a meaningful, high-quality experience.”

Uniqlo says that each new store will reflect “operational excellence, honoring loyal customers and creating meaningful connections to the communities it serves.” Regular store offerings include Uniqlo’s RFID self-check-out stations, alterations services, and RE.UNIQLO donation bins. Some special locations will also offer UTme! customizable t-shirt and tote-bag services and RE.UNIQLO Studios, providing embroidery and repair services.

- Bryant Park, 5th Avenue (New York City)
- World Trade Center (New York City)
- 600 N. Michigan Avenue (Chicago)
- Oakbrook Mall (Chicago)
- Downtown San Francisco: 830 Market Street
- Downtown Crossing: 395-403 Washington Street (Boston)
- Annapolis Mall (Maryland)
- Georgetown Park: 3262 M Street NW (Washington D.C.)
- Issaquah Commons (Seattle)
