Kessinger worked at DDR for 12 years before joining ShopCore.

ShopCore and DDR veteran Kevin Kessinger is the new president and COO at Trademark Property, the forward-thinking operator and renovator now in the process of re-making North Point Mall in the Atlanta metro.

“We have attracted one of the retail industry’s brightest talents to join and influence our team,” said Terry Montesi, founder and CEO of Trademark.

Kessinger worked for 12 years at DDR, where he oversaw all the company’s management and transactional activities, finishing there as senior VP of funds management. He left DDR to become an original member of the executive staff of ShopCore Properties, Blackstone’s owner-operator of community, power, and grocery-anchored centers.

“Trademark has a proven track record of bringing original, creative strategies to both value-add and core assets, consistently growing NOI and creating substantial value in dynamic markets,” said Kessinger. “The company’s more than 30-year history in retail and mixed-use real estate gives it a unique advantage in today’s reimagined real estate market.”

Trademark’s portfolio includes Galleria Dallas, Lincoln Square, Left Bank, WestBend, and Alliance Town Center in Dallas-Fort Worth; Market Street – The Woodlands in Houston; La Palmera Mall in Corpus Christi; Zona Rosa in Kansas City; Annapolis Town Center in Maryland and Perkins Rowe in Baton Rouge.

At North Point in Alpharetta--which lost traffic as well as tenants to the popular live-work-play Avalon Center—Trademark is planning to add close to 200,000 sq. ft. of  new retail, restaurant, entertainment and and service space.

Kessinger remains an active supporter of CoreGiving, which is on pace to raise more than $3.4 million to battle child hunger problems in the United States. At Trademark, Kessinger will continue his philanthropic efforts with the company’s Make a Difference Foundation, a core element of the company’s ESG program.
