Taylor has managed more than 3 million sq. ft. of retail developments and redevelopments over his career.

One of the nation’s most progressive mixed-use developers and mall re-makers has added two new leaders to its development team.

Fort Worth-based Trademark’s new senior vice president of development is Lance Taylor, whose long career in real estate development and investment included posts at JLL, Deutschebank, and, most recently, Newmark Merrill, where he worked on the company’s Mountain West portfolio of shopping centers.

Joining him on the Trademark development team as vice president is Blake Bickmore, a veteran of Reef Capital Partners, The Dilweg Companies, and Crescent Communities, where he most recently served as director of development.

The duo will work alongside VP of development Monica Luera to steer the growth of Trademark’s retail and mixed-use projects.

“This powerhouse trio has the right combination of talent, relentlessness and versatility to lead us in this exciting new real estate cycle,” said Trademark’s founder and CEO Terry Montesi. “Trademark’s development capacity is at an all-time high, ready to take advantage of the current supply-demand imbalance.”

The team will oversee new and existing developments, redevelopments, and the management of project and tenant construction teams. They will also scout development opportunities in high-growth markets, leveraging proprietary research and retailer relationships to identify target markets for expansion.

Trademark’s active development pipeline includes nearly 1 million sq. ft. in new ground-up and redevelopment projects. The team is currently involved in the redevelopment of the dated shopping center Lincoln Square into a vibrant mixed-use gathering place in Arlington, Texas.

“I’ve long admired the firm’s ability to thoughtfully execute transformative retail-anchored developments that positively impact communities,” said Taylor. “We are at a unique inflection point in our industry, and Trademark is strategically placed to capitalize on this momentum.”

Over his career, Taylor has led $1.3 billion in gross transaction volume totaling 11.5 million sq. ft. He also executed 1.6 million sq. ft. of ground-up shopping center development and 2 million sq. ft. of redevelopments.

Trademark’s portfolio includes Galleria Dallas and WestBend in Dallas-Fort Worth; Zona Rosa in Kansas City; Annapolis Town Center in Maryland; Perkins Rowe in Baton Rouge, and North Point in Alpharetta, Ga.
