An online furniture retailer is making its wedding registry service more interactive.
The Wayfair Registry, which enables couples to create and manage their registries on-the-go, just added new tools to step up the experience. The solution now features “Search with Photo” visual search functionality that lets users paste a photo of desired merchandise into the search bar. Customers can either take a picture with their smartphone’s camera or upload an image from their photo library. The solution then displays similar styles available on Wayfair’s website, which they can instantly add items to their wish list.
Wayfair also added “My Checklist,” a solution that suggests popular or trending products, and tracks items added across every category. The automated checklist also allows couples to fill in gaps in real-time, according to the online retailer.
The new additions coincide with the expansion of Wayfair’s housewares offering, which spans kitchen, tabletop, and organization merchandise, among other categories. To take the guesswork out of browsing the growing assortment, Wayfair also introduced its “Mix ’n Match” tabletop tool, an interactive solution that helps shoppers style and visualize unique table settings by individual pieces and color.
“We’re constantly innovating how we present our selection to create the best possible shopping experience for our customers,” said Steve Oblak, chief merchandising officer, Wayfair. “We’re excited to provide new ways for our customers to discover their favorite housewares products, while offering great value and faster delivery for an even larger selection.”
