Warehouse club operator expands mobile offering
BJ’s Wholesale Club is helping its members to more easily take advantage of its deals.
The warehouse club operator introduced a new mobile app that enables members to store and use mobile coupons, check gas prices and track their savings. The app is available on both iOS and Android devices.
Members can access the clubs “Add-to-Card” digital coupons within the mobile app or BJ’s website, and then use the app to electronically save them to their membership card. Coupons range from those found in the retailer’s “Little Book of Big Savings,” as well as manufac-turers' coupons. Once a casher scans their membership card at point-of-sale, the savings are automatically applied during checkout.
The app also shows members warehouse locations with gas stations, and current gas prices. For a limited time, BJ's members who use the app to locate and select their nearest gas location will receive 5 cents off per gallon on their next fill-up, the company said.
The app also directs users to the closest club, as well as their year-to-date savings and any pending rewards.
