Walmart has posted a job opening for an experienced tech professional.
The retailer has posted an opening for a “CEO, Stealth Company” who would lead the latest startup inside Walmart’s technology incubator, Store No. 8, reported
Bloomberg. According to the
listing, the executive will be responsible for “building a business from scratch,” and will work closely with senior Walmart leadership and serve as the “public champion” for the as-yet-undefined business. Candidates should have 10-plus years starting companies and leading them to scale or purchase, ideally in the technology or e-commerce space, and seven-plus years of “building successful products to launch and exponential growth from the ground up.”
Walmart launched its tech incubator Store No. 8 two years ago to identify and capitalize on changes in the way people shop, by using tools such as virtual reality and self-checkout, according to the report.
