Shake Shack app goes national

12/20/2016

The ordering app that Shake Shack has been testing in key urban markets like New York, Chicago, and Los Angeles is now rolling out nationally.

Users pick their food items and extras on the app, pre-pay, designate a pick-up time from a selection of 15-minute increments, then retrieve their orders at a pick-up window. A list of past transactions allows them to re-order favorites.

For now, Android users still have to queue up at their local Shake Shack. The app is only available for iOS via the App Store, though an Android version is being developed.

Shake Shack introduced its mobile app ordering platform in a one-location test this fall, in New York City. Designed on Apple’s iOS platform, the Shack App invited guests to place orders through their smartphone, and pick up meals at its “Midtown East Shack” location.
