Roche Bros. modernizes POS

1/9/2019
Regional Northeast grocer Roche Bros. is turning to Toshiba to improve the quality of its checkout experience.

Roche Bros. will implement Toshiba Global Commerce Solutions TCx 300 POS systems and accompanying TCx displays in all 20 of its Massachusetts-based stores. So far, Roche Bros. has deployed 100 Toshiba POS systems in seven stores, and will deploy an additional 200 lanes in the remaining 13 stores by March 2019.

Roche Bros. selected Toshiba’s TCx 300 POS platform to enable both associates and customers with the technology necessary for producing faster and seamless transactions. The grocer expects the POS terminals’ intuitive and responsive touchscreen functionality to enhance associate ability to provide a more satisfying shopping experience for customers.

“We are excited with the selection of Toshiba as our provider of retail technology,” said John Lauderbach, CIO of Roche Bros. “Our adoption of the company’s premium point-of-sale technology has already proven successful by enabling faster, more frictionless transactions for both our associates and customers.”
