Report: Nordstrom creates tux rental showrooms

The department store chain is putting a new spin on formalwear rentals.



Through its partnership with tuxedo rental startup The Black Tux, Nordstrom hopes to attract male millennials to its new formalwear showrooms in six stores, according to ReCode.



The showrooms will be available in six Nordstrom locations — all in areas where the tux startup doesn't yet have a presence. Here, shoppers can get measured, try on a selection of tuxedos, and then place rental orders for delivery to their homes. All showrooms will carry limited inventory, the report said.



If the initial rollout goes well, the partnership could expand more widely, ReCode added.
