Goodwill gives online shoppers the goods on lower prices

4/2/2019
Goodwill Industries of Greater NY and Northern NJ is partnering with Price.com to notify Internet consumers of cheaper alternative purchases.

Leveraging a customized Price.com for Enterprise white label browser extension, Goodwill notifies consumers shopping for new items on other online sites with less expensive used options on the regional Goodwill site for greater New York and northern New Jersey.

Currently, the browser extension is exclusively available for product-matching items at Goodwill NYNJ. However, future rollouts of the product will extend the browser extension capabilities to include select inventory from other Goodwill agencies across the United States. There are 161 autonomous Goodwill organizations across the U.S. and Canada.

"Our goal is to offer affordable shopping options to customers using the Price.com for Enterprise white label browser extension," said Lennox Thomas, Goodwill NYNJ executive VP for retail operations. "People who shop at Goodwill triple their impact. They find unique pieces; their purchases create jobs locally, which result in positive environmental outcomes for the global community."
