A made-to-measure menswear retailer wants to get customized merchandise into its customers’ hands faster — and with less financial burden.
Indochino on Wednesday introduced a two-week delivery promise for all custom garments, including its new made-to-measure overcoats and chinos, as well as suits, shirts and blazers. This move slashes its three-week delivery guarantee by a third. The company launched its three-week guarantee earlier this year.
In addition, Indochino launched a new payment program that will enable customers to pay in installments. Through a partnership with global payments provider Klarna, customers can now spread the cost of their purchase over monthly time periods, with no interest. Terms start at six months, according to Klarna.
“We do everything we can to offer an outstanding shopping experience and giving our customers a more convenient way to shop — with flexible financing options — which will be integral to our further enhancing our customers’ experience,” said Drew Green, president and CEO of Indochino. “By partnering with Klarna, we’re providing consumers with the power to purchase our custom suits, shirts, chinos and overcoats over time, without limiting their choice, based on how they pay.”
Indochino, which was one of
Chain Store Age’s Breakout Retailers of 2018, is making it easier for customers to take advantage of these new services through an increasing brick-and-mortar footprint. The digitally native menswear brand, which currently has 23 stores (“showrooms”), announced in May that it will
expand its store portfolio by almost a third. The locations are chosen for their close proximity to a young professional community and as a premier shopping destination for men aged 25-45, the company’s core demographic.
