Fast-casual chain taps Amazon exec to head up digital

Coinciding with its efforts to boost new technology initiatives this year, Taco Bell is bolstering its digital team.

Taco Bell has named Elizabeth Baicy as VP, digital and future works. Baicy, a 15-year technology veteran, most recently was Amazon’s senior director of product — Kindle Manga & comiXology, the company's international digital comic business, where she was responsible for growing product revenue across the division. During her six-plus-year tenure at Amazon, she also led end-to-end growth, and "demand" generation of new device categories, such as Fire phone, Dash, Echo and Alexa.

Taco Bell also appointed Jon Kosoff as VP, e-commerce and performance marketing. Kosoff joins Taco Bell from Hot Topic, where he served as senior VP of e-commerce and CRM.

For the past 18 years, Kosoff has led measurable growth and return on investment for top consumer companies through digital platforms focused on e-commerce, omnichannel, mobile, merchandising, marketing and CRM.
