Omnichannel furniture retailer MYCS is streamlining the back-end processes supporting international expansion.
The Berlin, Germany-based startup provides a 3D online configurator that allows customers to adapt the size, material, color and features of a piece of furniture to their own ideas. MYCS has streamlined its online and brick-and-mortar expansion into France, Switzerland, and the U.K., with a cloud-based ERP system from Oracle NetSuite.
Leveraging Oracle NetSuite modules, MYCS has obtained a single view into key business metrics across its entire operations, automated manual tasks and better managed complex sales and warehouse processes. In addition, MYCS has been able to support international business with localized solutions, ranging from country-specific reporting and audits to the automatic adjustment of currencies and adaptation of regional tax regulations. In addition, MYCS has had the flexibility to relocate warehouse operations and adapt its product portfolio to local requirements.
"We wanted professional process management that could scale and grow the business and facilitate expansion into other countries," said Nico Gronwald, operations manager & ERP product owner, MYCS. "NetSuite provides us with the means to control processes remotely. I am master of my own system. Even for users without any IT knowledge, NetSuite offers simple administration."
MYCS is not the only omnichannel retailer looking to streamline its global growth with automated localization. International specialty lifestyle retailer Laura Ashley is
utilizing Oracle Commerce Cloud to internationalize its website so each territory can customize its online storefront. The solution enables Laura Ashley to seamlessly integrate its inventory system and e-commerce platform.
