Best Buy taps CVS Pharmacy exec to head up digital
The chief digital officer of Best Buy has left the chain.
Bala Subramanian has departed Best Buy to serve as the chief digital officer of AT&T. Replacing him at the consumer electronics giant is Brian Tilzer, who previously served as the chief digital officer of CVS Health. The news was first reported by GeekWire.
Subramanian joined Best Buy in 2012, as chief technology officer. He is credited with helping the retailer transform to adapt to the evolving retail marketplace. Prior to Best Buy, Subramanian was VP, enterprise architecture, at T-Mobile.
Tilzer joined CVS in 2013. Prior to that, he was senior VP of global e-commerce at Staples Inc.
