Amazon’s shopping app goes international

Amazon is looking to bring more international mobile customers into its fold.

The company’s shopping app now offers an international shopping feature for iOS and Android mobile users. The new feature enables users to shop in five languages, including English, Spanish, Simplified Chinese, German, and Brazilian Portuguese. The language options also support searches, browsing product details, and interacting with customer service.

In addition to supporting 25 local currencies, the new update displays clear pricing, shipping costs, and import duty estimates. Amazon’s app also filters products that are available to ship to specific countries, and coordinates with courier services for customs clearance, according to the company.

Users can access the upgrade through a new “Country and Language” option in the app settings menu, according to Amazon.
