Amazon lockers are helping Whole Foods Market to boost sales.
Whole Foods stores that have Amazon lockers are increasing visits among shoppers — and creating another way to spur sales, according to
Reuters.
Based on research from location data advertising firm inMarket, the report revealed that short “micro” visits, defined as three to five minutes in length, were up 11% at stores with lockers. (The study examined locations with lockers available since Amazon closed its purchase of Whole Foods on Aug. 28.) This is compared to a 7% gain at stores in the same cities that do not have the banks of lockers.
