The spot where legendary stars of the silver screen fished with their kids will now be a place to snare luxury goods.

The former hangout of Bogart & Bacall and Tracy & Hepburn is set for a retail re-do.

Los Angeles-based renovation contractor Interserv announced it will renovate the tenant spaces at the Shops at Sportsmen’s Lodge in L.A.’s Studio City neighborhood, which opened last year following a $100 million renovation by Midwood Investment and Development.

The hotel and restaurant that served as a hangout for stars from the nearby Republic Studios in the Forties and Fifties was known for its pond, where patrons caught their own trout and handed them over to the restaurant staff to prepare for their dinner.

The likes of John Wayne, Bette Davis, and Clark Gable are reputed to be among the guests who taught their children to fish at the famed establishment. Tallulah Bankhead and Lena Horne are said to have baited their hooks with liverwurst and fished while sipping martinis.

Golden Era Hollywoood western stars such as Gene Autry and Roy Rogers, too, were regulars at the Sportsmen’s, and their equivalent of the Academy Awards—the Silver Spur Awards—continued to be handed out there into the 2000s.

Now organic grocer Erewhon, upscale women’s clothiers Fred Segal and The Great, and 22 other food, retail, and wellness tenants will be the main draws at the Shops at Sportsmen’s Lodge.

"Midwood trusts the Interserv team with work for our tenants with varying scopes of work, in coordination with tenants, subcontractors and our base building general contractor, under accelerated schedules, and to luxury retail fit-out standards,” said Midwood’s head of construction Steven Spiro.

Interserv will undertake build-outs of core and shell space, electrical and plumbing work, concrete floor finish, awnings, and exterior storefront design.

"I could not be more proud of our team for the incredible work being completed at the newly reimagined Sportsmen's Lodge,” said Interserv president Victor Garcia. "We're beyond thrilled to be a part of this project."
