Whole Foods’ new store format has digital foundation

Whole Foods Market opened its third store under its new banner, 365 by Whole Foods Market, on Wednesday, in Bellevue, Washington.

The 30,000-sq.-ft. store boasts a strong digital presence, reported GeekWire, from digital signage to digital scales.

“In the store, the thing we’re really proud of is the digital signage,” Isabelle Francois, VP of 365 by Whole Foods Mark, told GeekWire. “We’ve almost gone 100 percent digital with signage. Customers love it. It’s reliable. The tags get updated instantaneously as soon as we change pricing. That was a big achievement and it’s everywhere in all the departments.”
