Eataly has opened its first 24-hour location in a city where the action is non-stop.
The Italian food marketplace will make its Las Vegas debut on Dec. 27, opening a 40,000-sq.-ft. location in the city’s new Park MGM resort on the Las Vegas Strip. The new Eataly will include two restaurants, six takeaway counters, a café, three bars, and an educational chef's table. It will sell more than 5,000-plus products.
The location will introduce several new features, including “Kitchen of the Market,” described as an open, counter-to-table space designed to “shatter the barrier between restaurants and the store.” It will consist of six different fresh counters where guests can eat what they shop, and shop what they eat. The counters will range from Italian street food to a fishmonger to a butcher to a pasta maker.
Eataly Las Vegas will also feature three new bars that showcase iconic Italian cocktails and spirits, as well as one of the largest selections of Italian wines in the U.S. The offerings will include an upscale, full-service Italian bar inspired by the cafes of Milan.
Education, another key pillar in Eataly's philosophy across all locations, will remain a crucial element of the Las Vegas store. The location features an interactive experience with Chef's Table, which encourages patrons to explore the world of high-quality food through live culinary demonstrations. Guests at the table will learn a variety of authentic cooking traditions.
"We created Eataly Las Vegas with possibility in mind because anything can happen in Las Vegas," said Nicola Farinetti, CEO of Eataly USA. "With this store, we have evolved our ideas for how to deliver authentic Italian cuisine, and we are excited to join the destination with so many new venues and concepts."
Eataly opened its first U.S. store in 2010, in Manhattan. Since then, it has expanded throughout the U.S. with a location in Chicago, Boston, and Los Angeles. It also opened an addition site in New York City. There are a total of 37 Eataly stores around the world, with the majority concentrated in Italy.
