Premier jewelry designer to open New York flagship

10/26/2018
David Yurman is expanding its presence in the Big Apple.

The premium jewelry company will open a flagship in Manhattan, on 57th Street and Madison Ave., in the second half of 2019. The approximate 5,000-sq.-ft. space will feature a three-level entry way that welcomes shoppers into the expansive space.

Overseen by chief creative officer Evan Yurman, the store's interior will reflect the company's heritage — the Yurmans' journey from art to jewelry — as well as its future, with innovative technology incorporated into the shopper experience. The new space will also feature a curation of David Yurman product across all categories.

"We're an American luxury brand with a growing global presence and being at such a quintessential New York location feels like a natural fit,” said Carol Pennelli, president of David Yurman, which was founded by artists David and Sybil Yurman in 1980.
With the opening of the 57th Street location, David Yurman will be closing its current Townhouse store on Madison Avenue. The brand's downtown boutique in Soho will remain open.

David Yurman operates 47 retail and concession locations throughout the United States, Canada, and France. Its products are also available at over 350 locations worldwide.
