Newsstand concept getting specialty update
Bridges General wants to update the concept of convenience by opening a network of curated microstores.
The company hopes to open 100 U.S. locations by 2020, reported specialtyfood.com, up from its current total of eight (with five in Manhattan, two in Los Angeles, and one in San Francisco).
The cashless concept, billed as “elevated convenience,” is to create a core product assortment of on-trend specialty snacks and beverages, along with some gift items, which is then tweaked for each location, according to the report. To read more, click here.
