New and expectant parents take center stage at Marie's Baby Circle, a new baby brand from the largest retailer in South Korea, E-mart.
The store, at Starfield Goyang in Seoul, offers a comfortable and relaxed shopping environment for its target audience, one that also seeks to build a supportive community for all things baby. Along with a full range products, it includes two changing areas, two feeding rooms, a Baby Canteen cafe and plenty of seating areas.
Designed by London-based Dalziel & Pow, Marie's Baby Circle welcomes customers through a statement storefront complete with bespoke curtain-effect draping. Large digital screens in the heart of the space highlight key services.
The store includes a studio space that hosts pre-natal classes, product demos and well-being activities such as yoga. It transforms into a children’s play area on the weekends when more families visit the store.
Playful touches are woven throughout the space. A digital wall invites children as well as adults to interact with an enchanted landscape — by touching the mural, they can trigger different animations and audio. Other enhancements include a soft-play area of foam-covered woodland, soundscaping and Gobo-projected leaf patterns on the floor. Seating by the digital wall lets parents relax while their children play. And kids are welcome to cuddle up with the brand’s popular snoring bears for story time.
