An Australian activewear brand is building out its U.S. footprint.
Lorna Jane is expanding its presence in California, opening stores with Westfield in its new redevelopments in Westfield Century City, Los Angeles, and in University Westfield Town Center, La Jolla, Calif. The brand also plans to open a store with Westfield in San Jose, Calif., scheduled for completion later this year.
In addition, Lorna Jane will enter the Salt Lake City, Utah market for the first time, opening in the spring at Taubman’s City Creek Center. The brand will also open its first outlet store, at Simon’s Camarillo Premium Outlets in Camarillo, Calif.
The upcoming locations are in addition to recently opened stores at El Paseo Premiere Centre in Palm Desert, Calif., and Domain Northside in Austin, Texas.
“These store openings are the latest developments in Lorna Jane’s retail expansion strategy to grow the brand and amplify its brand presence in North America and expand upon the brand’s retail store network of 31 existing stores across California, Arizona, Hawaii, Nevada, Texas, Washington and Utah,” said Scott Lifschultz, president of national tenant representation firm SPL Realty Partners. Lifschultz oversees, and is responsible for, Lorna Jane’s portfolio of U.S. stores.
In addition to expanding Lorna Jane’s footprint in the U.S., SPL been repositioning the company’s existing fleet to ensure the brand is well placed to showcase its premium product offering, Lifschultz added.
