Las Vegas -- Kleinfeld Hudson’s Bay, a glamorous bridal shop on the top floor of the Hudson’s Bay’s flagship and headquarters building in Toronto, took the big prize — Store of the Year — in the Association for Retail Environments 2015 Design Awards. The annual awards recognize the best in retail design, store fixtures and visual presentation.
Designed by HBC Store Planning, the 14,000-sq.-ft. Kleinfeld space is a spacious, airy, contemporary showplace that elevates the product and experience beyond customer expectations, with a selection that includes 600-plus bridal gowns.
Brides use the store as a lookbook, tagging styles before narrowing their choices in 14 oversized fitting rooms and a VIP fitting room. The uncluttered space provides ample space for twirling, avoiding rips in the dress but enabling the bride and her guests to get the full gown experience.
“Kleinfeld Hudson’s Bay is the new standard in bridal retail in Canada. We’ve raised the bar by delivering unprecedented access to world-class designer gowns, the highest standard of service excellence, all in an absolutely stunning environment,” said Liz Rodbell, president, HBC Department Store Group.
Kleinfeld was founded in 1941 and is the largest luxury bridal retailer in the world, with a 35,000-sq.-ft. flagship in New York City. The store is featured on the TLC reality TV show “Say Yes To The Dress.”
