Happy Socks continues to expand its U.S. brick-and-mortar footprint.
The Swedish socks brand has opened its 100th global store, in Manhattan’s Times Square. It is Happy Socks’ third New York City location.
The 345-sq.-ft. store is bright and colorful, and is designed to reflect the brand’s signature playful aesthetic. It follows on the heels of two recent openings, in Brooklyn, New York, and Venice, Calif.
Founded in Stockholm in 2008, Happy Socks was acquired by London-based private equity company Palamon Capital Partners in 2017. The acquisition put Happy Socks on a path for global expansion. The company hopes to open about 30 to 40 stores during the next couple of years.
