Chicago Tribune: Google to open retail flagship

Google is reportedly delving deeper into brick-and-mortar.

The tech giant is planning a two-level flagship in the Fulton Market district of Chicago, according to the Chicago Tribune.

The flagship would not be Google’s first encounter with physical retail. It has previously opened in-store shops and pop-ups in various U.S. locations, including sites in New York City and Los Angeles last holiday season.

The reported Chicago location is about two blocks south of the company’s Midwest headquarters at 1000 W. Fulton Market, the Chicago Tribune said, and would occupy the first and second floors of several connected, two-story brick buildings.
