Made-to-measure menswear brand Indochino was born on the Internet, but it has found new growth opportunities in brick-and-mortar.

The retailer, a winner of Chain Store Age’s 2018 Breakout Retailers Awards, has opened a 2,300-sq.-ft. location at Santa Monica Place, Santa Monica, Calif., with a 2,500-sq.-ft. flagship on Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles due to open this summer. The Santa Monica store is Indochino’s 41st store overall, and fourth in the Los Angeles region.

Additional California locations are planned for San Jose, San Diego, and Roseville. The company expects to have 50 locations across North America by the end of 2019.

Indochino Santa Monica is designed to offer customers a personalized shopping experience. Associates, or “style guides,” walk customers through the process of designing their one-of-a-kind suits, shirts, blazers, chinos and overcoats. Garments are made to their precise measurements and shipped directly to the customers within two weeks. Customer profiles are stored online for easy repeat shopping online and offline.

“Santa Monica Place is a premier shopping destination and the ideal setting to showcase our one-of-kind showroom experience as we continue to change the way a generation of men build their wardrobe,” said Drew Green, president and CEO of Indochino. “Together with a new flagship on Melrose Avenue, we are excited to expand in Los Angeles and beyond so we can provide customers on the West Coast with an affordable luxury shopping experience of designing a garment that's truly personalized for them, all without a high price tag.”
