American Eagle, Prysm partner for display solution
New York City Prysm said Tuesday that American Eagle Outfitters has chosen Prysm’s freeform display solution to transform its new flagship store in the SoHo of New York City.
The American Eagle Outfitters store is the first installation of the Prysm Laser Phosphor Display solution, which incorporates high-definition stackable display building blocks.
Multiple displays, each standing 7 ft. tall, are arranged across the three-story, 24,000-sq.-ft. retail space. Three columns in the main entrance work as both window displays and in-store branding. Four columns are presented at the escalator gateways inviting customers to make the transition from each level of the store.
Prysm said its display solution is made up of four key components: One or more display building blocks, image processor, user-friendly set-up and remote-monitoring software, and flexible frame options.
At the core of the Prysm LPD display solution is a 25-inch diagonal building block. Solid-state lasers deliver brilliant image quality, which is viewable from nearly a 180-degree angle and uses up to 75% less power than traditional backlit or projection technology-based products, according to Prysm.
