Amazon has debuted a smaller format for its cashierless store format that could serve as a model for expansion.
The online giant opened a 450-sq.-ft. Amazon Go store in one of the company’s offices in Seattle, reported Reuters. It is the eighth Amazon Go location to date.
The compact format would allow Amazon Go to expand to such locations as office lobbies and hospitals, according to the report. It also comes amid rumors that Amazon is looking to open Amazon Go in airports.
