Sprouts is signed to anchor New Jersey center
Somerset Shopping Center in the high-income community of Bridgewater in northern New Jersey has landed a big fish in its bagging of a new grocery anchor.
Levin Management Corp. (LMC), the property’s leasing and management agent, has announced that Sprouts Farmer’s market has signed a lease for a 28,750-sq.-ft. space at the property, hailing it as a game-changing addition.
“Sprouts Farmers Market is the kind of anchor that can elevate a center’s performance,” said LMC’s senior leasing representative Vanessa Kelty. “Its presence will enhance the tenant mix, generate strong daily traffic, and further Somerset’s position in the market.”
Sprouts will join Barnes & Noble as an anchor at the property.
The 219,000-sq.-ft. center serves an affluent and densely populated trade area, with approximately 126,000 residents within a five-mile radius and average household incomes of $178,000.
Sprouts will be one of a number of recent openings at Somerset. Other new tenants include Boot Barn, Fred Astaire Dance Studio, Strand Salon Studios and Style Brow Bar, all of which opened in 2025. D1 Training has been announced and is set to open soon.
Other key tenants at the property include Men’s Wearhouse, Liquor Cave, Gap Factory, Pearle Vision, and Fortunoff Backyard Store.
“A quality grocer can have a transformative impact on a shopping center by driving repeat visits, expanding daily-use appeal and strengthening the performance of surrounding tenants,” said LMC’s CEO Matthew Harding. “This lease reinforces the property’s long-term value and our commitment to strategic merchandising that positions our centers for sustained success.”
Somerset Shopping Center is located on New Jersey Route 202/206 near the Somerville Circle, about 30 miles west of Staten Island.
LMC reports that Somerset has three more available spaces ranging in size from between 6,000 to 22,000 square feet.
